Time Commitments
We welcome volunteers who can commit to regular shifts as well as those who can only help occasionally. Even a few hours a month makes a difference!
Our primary volunteer needs are during our operating hours:
- Wednesdays: 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Fridays: 11:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Volunteer Application Process
- Complete the volunteer application form (available at the Senior Center or by contacting us)
- Attend a brief orientation session
- Shadow an experienced volunteer for your first shift
- Begin your volunteer journey!
Donation Options
We accept donations of non-perishable food items as well as fresh produce, dairy, and meat when available. Most needed items include:
- Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans)
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Pasta and sauce
- Rice and grains
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Cereal and oatmeal
- Cooking oils and spices
Food donations can be dropped off at the Fairfield Bay Senior Community Center during our regular hours.
Financial donations allow us to purchase food at reduced costs through our partnerships with food banks and local suppliers. Every dollar donated helps provide multiple meals to those in need.
Donations can be made:
- In person at the Fairfield Bay Senior Community Center
- By mail to: 385 Dave Creek Parkway, Fairfield Bay, AR
- Through our secure online donation portal (coming soon)
During the holiday season, you can participate in our Angel of Christmas Giving Tree program to provide gifts for children in need.
- Select a tag from the Giving Tree at Fairfield Bay Senior Community Center
- Leave your name and tag number to a Heart of the Bay volunteer or to Judy at the Senior Center
- Return your wrapped gift with tag by December 9th
If you prefer to donate money, you may do so and a volunteer will do the shopping for you.
Corporate Partnership
Businesses can support Heart of the Bay Food Pantry in various ways:
- Financial sponsorship

- In-kind donations of goods or services
- Event sponsorship
Corporate partners receive recognition through our website, social media, and at events. Most importantly, your support makes a tangible difference in the lives of community members facing food insecurity.
